About Westover Treatment Centre
The Shore to Shore Relay started in 2007 as a way to celebrate good health, raise money for Westover Treatment Centre (www.westover-fdn.org) and have a great time on an adventure race across southwestern Ontario.
Addictions are responsible for a large percentage of visits to Family Doctors' offices every year and are so common that there will be few of you who haven't been touched in some way by this disease. At Westover, we are committed to helping individuals stop using substances and return to health and to a healthy and positive place in our society. Each year, over 350 people graduate from Westover and our success rate for recovery is excellent, well above provincial averages.
Located in Thamesville, the Westover Treatment Centre is a 12 step-based addiction treatment centre that has been in operation for more than 20 years. We are partially funded by the Ministry of Health but, in order to continue to offer top quality services to our clients across South Western Ontario, we must raise funds through fundraising activities.
